Samsung Officially Launches 2020 Flagship ‘S Series’ Smartphones

Samsung has officially unveiled its S-series handsets Samsung Galaxy S20, Samsung Galaxy S20+ and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra for 2020. All three of Samsung’s smartphones come with 120Hz refresh rate display, 5G, better cameras, 8K video recording support, bigger battery and new design. The Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ is the upgrade version of Samsung Galaxy S10 and the Samsung Galaxy S10+. But Samsung Galaxy Ultra is a brand new phone. It comes with 108-megapixel rear camera, 40-megapixel selfie camera and 45-watt fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy S20 series smartphones will be available in different colours from March 6. The company has announced that the price of the smartphone will be between $ 999.99 (about Rs. 71,300) to $ 1,599.99 (about Rs. 1,14,100). The Samsung Galaxy S20 5G will start at $ 999, while the Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G will start at $ 1,199 (about Rs 85,500). The initial price of Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G will be $ 1,399 (about 99,800 rupees). At the moment, no information has been given about the Indian price and availability of these smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Specification

The dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy S20 are 151.7×69.1×7.9 millimetres and weigh 163 grams. It has a 6.2-inch Infiniti-O Dynamic Amoled 2X display. The screen comes with QuadHD (1,440×3,200 pixels) resolution and 563 PPI pixel density. The screen is HDR10 certified and has a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has a 7nm octa-core processor. In some areas this phone will come with Samsung Exynos 990 processor and in some places Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor model will be made available.

The Galaxy S20 has 8 GB or 12 GB RAM options. Storage is 128 GB. It is also possible to use a microSD card up to 1 TB if needed. You will also get an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and face recognition for biometric authentication. The Galaxy S20 has got IP68 certification. It supports 25 W fast charging (in the retail box), fast wireless charging 2.0 and reverse wireless charging.

The camera department has a major upgrade. The Galaxy S20 will have three rear cameras. There is a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor with F / 1.8 aperture. Apart from this, an ultra-wide-angle lens with F / 2.2 aperture has been given. The third sensor is 64 megapixels. The aperture of this telephoto camera is F / 2.0 and it supports PDAF and optical image stabilization. The selfie camera has a 10-megapixel sensor with F / 2.2 aperture.
The phone will come with One UI 2.1, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, NFC, stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos sound based on Android 10.

Samsung Galaxy S20+ Specification

The Samsung Galaxy S20+ has a lot in common with the Samsung Galaxy S20. The difference is the size, battery capacity and an additional rear camera. The dimensions of the Galaxy S20+ are 161.9×73.7×7.8 millimetres and weigh 186 grams. The phone has a battery of 4,500 mAh. The LTE version has 128 GB of storage with 8 GB of RAM, while the 5G variant will have 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB of storage with 12 GB of RAM. There is no change in the sensors of the front and rear cameras except there is an additional depth camera on the rear only.

You will get a 6.7-inch quad-HD (1,440×3,200 pixels) dynamic AMOLED 2X display on the Samsung Galaxy S20+. It has Infiniti-O hole-Punch.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Specification

Now talk of the most premium phone of this series. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra has a 6.9-inch Quad-HD Dynamic Amoled 2X display. The Galaxy S20 Ultra has two RAM options – 12 GB or 16 GB. LTE and 5G variants will have three options for inbuilt storage – 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. In this, the battery capacity has been increased up to 5,000 mAh. The Galaxy S20 Ultra supports 45 W fast charging.

The dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra are 166.9x76x8.8 millimetres and weighing 220 grams. Some camera sensors have been upgraded compared to the other two models. Apart from wide-angle and depth cameras, you will get 108-megapixel primary camera and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera. The Galaxy S20 Ultra has a new periscope-like telephoto lens. The selfie has 40-megapixel sensor with F / 2.2 aperture.
